Dansko Roxy - I purchased a pair of Roxy's because they look
so nice and are from Dansko. The problem is that the insoles
are not removable and can't be replaced with custom footbeds.
I have a higher arch and the gap between the shoe and my foot
caused pain. I took them to a shoe repair shop and found that
nothing can be done without ruining the look of the shoe.
Unfortunately I'll have to return them. Too bad because they
are so pretty! Hurts like hell! First, I tried these on
extensively around the house. Ordered a 39, then a 40. At
first, no pain, decent with skirts, and good (eggplant) color.
But when I wore them outside I got blisters not only on the
far outside toe joints (where little toe meets foot) but on
the ankle strap too. I have no choice but to keep them and
hope that they'll break in. However, I got them because they
have arch support and my plantar fasciitis actually doesn't
bother me when I wear them! If they break in we may have a
happy ending, but the initial outside wearing brought tears to
my eyes and blisters to my feet! I find the reviews valuable
and Zappos shipping and customer service is always excellent.
Dansko Roxy in Red - Zappos service is wonderful! I received
the shoes in 2 days. This is my 2nd pair of Danskos and I love
them. The red is bold and eye-catching, just what I was hoping
for. I am on my feet a lot, and my feet felt great at the end
of the day. I ordered a 38 because I'm a 7/12. They feel a
little roomy, but not so much that I would order a size down.
I like the higher heel and more sleek look of this Dansko
(although I like my clogs too:) It is professional and
comfortable. The red is kinda sexy too. |
