Solid shoe... maybe too solid... I really like the look of the
shoe...it's a little more streamlined than other clogs, and
fits well. My only complaint would be the weight of the shoe.
Didn't expect a Born to be quite this heavy. Still love the
convenience of a clog... but they're heavy to wear for long
periods of time. I've worn clogs for most my life-- that's 30
years, from wooden soles to soft. The Born shoes are
well-made. The Post is classic and comfortable. I recommend
them to anyone on their feet all day. I found the fit to be a
half-size smaller than marked. I love my Born Post shoes.
I have a narrow foot with hardly any arch. I read in another
review that a narrow-footed person had knee pain with this
shoe and needed to add a donut insert. That sounded like a bit
of a drag to me, but I decided to order the shoe anyway
because I needed a shoe with a heel that would be more
comfortable than the usual medium heeled shoe. Luckily, I did
not have knee pain! The only negative thing I experience is
that when wearing the shoe without a sock, my heel sometimes
hit the label that is sewn into the shoe and left my heel
feeling slightly sore (but with socks I don't have this
problem). My ankles also feel slightly sore after wearing
these shoes several days in a row. But it's probably because I
not only have narrow feet but very skinny, toothpick legs, so
maybe these shoes work muscles in my feet and ankles that
don't usually get worked out? The shoe is not nearly as heavy
as it looks, but still heavier than most of my shoes. I got
them in Espresso and the color and texture are beautiful. In
some light they almost look slightly burgundy. |
