Fashion clogs, but not like authentic European clogs - I went
searching for these clogs after seeing them on someone I met
at a play group. I was looking for a replacement for my
Baastad clogs. I thought they looked a little more up-to-date
and I know Born's reputation for comfort. I am a little
disappointed. I wear a very standard size 9, not wide or
narrow. 9 was too small, 10 was too big, and no 1/2 sizes were
available. But most disappointing was the design of the shoe.
When you have the shoe on it forces your foot into an awkward
pigeon-toed position. Flip the shoe over and you can see why.
From the arch to the toes the footbed is curved in. The
styling of the shoe is great, it looked great with jeans, but
due to the design of the footbed, I did end up returning them.
I have 8 pair of Born shoes - My most recent purchase is
comfortable, I can stand up all day in this shoe, and it is
very stylish, I love it as I love all of my Born shoes, they
are the most comfortable shoe I own and cutest. |
